Bit of a tough session. started on a montana and got immediate action. but after 4 casts it went still and i didnt get another look. Redbourn is were we discovered the powers of the red buzzers so i tied one on and gave it a try. nothing at all. the last pattern i tried was a bloodworm pattern that i had cut short. this gave me 4 good fish - the usual redbourn 2 pounders.

Perhaps it was the weather - but all 4 gave really good sport punching well above their weight and each taking a while to get to the bank. This was the second outing of my new 6 weight stillwater setup and i am now very pleased with it.

The venue is coming along very nicely too - we have been fishign there for several years now and its maturing into a very nice place for an easy afternoon session.
