Syon park - Part 1

I hadn't been fishing for about 6 weeks - maybe longer. We decided to head to Syon park as its a quick 30 minute drive to get to and is one of the most convenient locations for a fly fisher based in north London.

Much to our surprise the lake was frozen over but we decided that seen as we were there we might as well give it a try. There were two small sections of the lake that weren't frozen on the end of the lake farthest from the parking area.

This one was caught on a red buzzer retrieved slowly. The take was very gentle with the leader just disappearing gently. The fish gave an excelent account of itself after a gentle beginning.

It was rather cold and we left with hands burning from the cold.
